Vernisha Crawford
Founder and CEO, B.Y.E./Community Resilience Project

Vernisha, has a great passion for helping others navigate life through education. She specializes in trauma, mental health, resilience, and organizational change, with a knack for business and entrepreneurship. Her most honorable badge is motherhood, where she gets to learn from and enjoy her 5-year old daughter, Nahla, every day.

Vernisha is a former Massage Therapist and current Certified Professional Life Coach and Resilience Educator. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from UNC Charlotte, her Master’s Degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Vernisha will be the first Dr. and Psychologist in her very large family that include 5 brothers and 4 sisters; which is one of many firsts for her. Vernisha is a walking testimony of resilience. Through her work with BYE she has learned and accepted that although trauma contributes to who you are; it does not determine who you can become.
